Last night one of my daughters said she was out of dishwasher detergent, could I spare some. Sure I had some to share. And this morning I decided to make another batch, here's how I did it.
1 cup A&H washing soda
1/2 cup Kosher salt
1/2 cup Lemi shine
1/2 cup A&H Baking soda
It may look like a lot of ingredients but once you get started, it's not so bad.
Mix all ingredients in a large bowl, stir often. The lemi shine makes every thing moist & needs to dry & be stirred for a few days. I added baking soda to the last batch I made (I think this helped to absorb the moisture) & I had better results with the baking soda. Store in any container.
I use 1-2 teaspoon in each container/per load. This has been working great. We have hard water, and this seems to be enough.
This is the sugar bowl I use to store my dishwasher detergent in, on my counter. Convenient.
Look at you..all posting and stuff! YOU GO GIRL!
ReplyDeleteLove the bowl! I may have to make some this way some day!..:)
